Hi Galene,
I haven't had a chance to give you specific comments on your web site as I was just trying to get myself set up for the blog and I am not at a point where I am caught up with the class to be very constructive right now. I hope next week will be a better week and I can write then.

Hey Galene,

Site looks good. Here are a few suggestions.

1. Introduction: "I am currently getting a supplemental authorization in Computers & Related Technology and finishing my MA in Music Education (at) CSUN"
2. Left Column: Maybe center school name and drop "High" to second line.
3. Course Content Standards: Centering the standards seems a little odd to me.
4. Online Books: I think this refers to free online books --like at Google Books-- not additional books students can buy.
5. Notable Musicians: I think you overlooked the great M.C. Hammer.
6. Courses "Communication": broken link.
7. Left Column - Contact Information: Maybe change to "Email Ms. Martinez" or "Email Galene" or "Email Me"

See ya Wednesday.

Howdy Galene,

Today's thoughts:
1. Homepage banner: text seems too small and cramped at the top of the page.
2. Calendar: You may want to schedule something that recurs because now there's nothing there. (Also, unless you have >1 calendar, you can delete the "s" on the homepage link.)
3. Nice glossary
4. Parent Survey: dead link
5. Video Files: "Set up, Playing ..." video -- need to make window bigger vertically -- controller hidden.
6. Video Files: Edit template used for page to reflect appropriate links in top link bar (whatever it's called) and activate.
7. You might want to think about personalizing your Band, Guitar and Strings pages a little more. Some of the info on each (e.g., department info, parents info) doesn't seem appropriate there.

Overall, it looks really good.

Hey Galene,

Let me know when you would like me to take a final pass over your site.

Hey Galene,

Looks good. Not much to add but here are some final thoughts:
1) Maybe put donations lists in a parent related group of links
2) Maybe shrink the static map of Europe a bit
3)I think that "Video from Web" on the SED 619 checklist refers to a video that you downloaded from YouTube (using a program like DVDVideoSoft -- http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm) and then embed in a page.
4) Your own video does not show the control bar at the bottom of screen.

That's pretty much it. Thanks for your comments about my site, and happy holidays.
